91 Points, Wine Advocate: The 2009 Santa Cruz de Artazu is a pure Garnacha from vines planted just after phylloxera. The nose is intense and quite broody at first with licorice, pressed violets, black olive and a touch of marmalade. The palate is full-bodied with sinewy ripe tannins. There is huge weight in the mouth with a dense, introspective, licorice and truffle-tinged finish that firmly grips and refuses to let go. This serious Navarra Garnacha will need several years in bottle. Drink 2014-2020. N.M. – (10.2012)
