The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate may be one of the finest wines Seavey has yet made. Composed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, it will spend 20 months in 60% new French oak before being bottled. Its dense purple color is followed by a gloriously pure nose of lead pencil shavings, wet rocks, loamy soil, forest floor, blackberries and crème de cassis. Full-bodied, opulent, fleshy and multidimensional, it should turn out to be a spectacular wine when it’s released in a year or so. Drink 2018-2040+.
